Descriptions

Ryton® PPS

We supply Ryton® PPS in Italy.

Page dedicated to PPS wear resistant materials.

Ryton® PPS stand for a cathegory of thermoplastic semi-crystalline compounds which is a unique combination of properties with a more value on benefits and performances than the other thermoplastic compounds.
Its formula includes low coefficient of friction and reduced wear rate for use in applications.
It is high temperature resistant and it is flame retardant.

Main Characteristics:
  • Thermal Stability: a remarkable combination of both long-term resistance with temperatures up till 200°C (392°F) and short-term resistance to temperatures up till 260°C (500° F);
  • Dimensional Stability: even complex parts could be molded with very tight tolerances and will maintain dimensional stability even at elevated temperatures and in harsh chemical environment;
  • Chemical Resistance: resistant to a wide variety of solvents and corrosive chemicals even at elevated temperatures;
  • Inherent Flame Retardancy: all Ryton® PPS compounds are whithin UL94 V-0 flammability ratings and it does not contain flame retardant additives.
Forms:
  • Pellets.
Processing Method:
  • Injection Molding.
Appearence:
  • Natural Color.
Ryton® PPS is excellent in metal replacing because it shows weight and manufacturing costs reduction. It shows excellent characteristics in automotive's as it is salts and fluids corrosion resistant and it reduces fuel consumption.
