Ryton® PPS - Drink stands for a reinforced cathegory of thermoplastic compounds that are suitable for food contact in accordance with KTW, WRAS, NSF 61 certifications. The properties of this material are: thermal stability, dimensional stability, chemical resistance and inherent flame retardancy.
Ryton® PPS (polyphenylene sulfide) is a unique combination of properties with a more value on benefits and performances than the other thermoplastic compounds.
Main Characteristics:
- Thermal Stability: a remarkable combination of both long-term resistance to temperatures up till 200°C (392°F) and short-term resistance to temperatures up till 260°C (500° F);
- Dimensional Stability: complex parts can be molded with very tight tolerances and they preserve dimensional stability anyway even at elevated temperatures and in harsh chemical environment;
- Chemical Resistance: it corrosive chemicals and solvent resistant even at elevated temperatures.
- Inherent Flame Retardancy: all Ryton® PPS compounds are whithin UL94 V-0 flammability ratings and it does not contain flame retardant additives;
