Ryton® PPS - Food Contact stands for reinforced thermoplastic compounds suitable for food contact in accordance with No. 10/2011 of the EU Regulations and the FDA Law.
This material is a unique combination of properties with a more value on benefits and performances than the other thermoplastic compounds.
 
Main Characteristics:
  • Thermal Stability: a remarkable combination of both long-term resistance to temperatures up till 200°C (392°F) and short-term resistance to temperatures up till 260°C (500° F);
  • Dimensional Stability: complex parts can be molded with very tight tolerances and they  preserve dimensional stability anyway even at elevated temperatures and in harsh chemical environment;
  • Chemical Resistance: it corrosive chemicals and solvent resistant even at elevated temperatures.
  • Inherent Flame Retardancy: all Ryton® PPS compounds are whithin UL94 V-0 flammability ratings and it does not contain flame retardant additives.
