Descriptions

Polyolefins are a family of polymers derived from propylene and ethylene. They make up the highest volume of thermoplastic products in the world. They form tough, flexible plastics with a large variety of uses. Research and development are increasing the variety of polyolefins, and as a result they are steadily replacing traditional materials in many applications. What’s more, polyolefins are generally easy to recycle.

HIGH PERFORMANCE METALLOCENE POLYETHYLENE
SABIC new Octene-Metallocene Polyethylene (C8-mPE) and Polyolefin Plastomer (POP) products are produced using NexleneTM technology with a combination of solution process and proprietary metallocene catalyst.
SABIC’s broad C8-mPE and POP product portfolio provides comprehensive ‘one-stop’ solutions to help our customers meet the most critical challenges across various applications in packaging, hygiene, agricultural & industrial films, construction and consumer products.
High performance Nexlene™ products provides superior general physical properties, transparency, processibility, and organoleptic properties.

PE AND PP
SABIC is a major producer of the key polyolefins PE (Polyethylene) and PP (Polypropylene). Uses range from rigid materials for refrigerators, computers and car parts to industrial food packaging and waterproof film. Some polyolefin products have heat-resistant properties that make them ideal for use in, for example, packaging microwaveable food, while others melt easily for use in heat-sealable wrapping. We make several different types of each polyolefin.
